A full on Question and Answer session was done on the Bols lounge yesterday, so here is its compilation of information. Please note that the pics shown from the codex, I wont show here, but the information from the pics is posted.

via krittoris on the Bols Lounge
again i have this wonderful book 3 days early. now my friends i tried this with necrons and the 6th ed rulebook. it got abit out of control so lesson learned.

request an item or rule, i will find the page and upload the pic. points costs will be blurted out, PM me for the actual costs. but for most stuff its the same as DARK ANGELS 6TH ED CODEX!!!!

QnA
then tell us, krittoris, do tactical squad and dev squad get access to heavy flamer?
We know they access to Heavy Weapons, but is there exist any other restriction?
heavy flamer has the little number one above it in the armory. (like terminator on equipment in previous books)
this means according the the book, the heavy flamer is restricted except to the following units;
sterngaurd veterens
legion of the damned
these two units are the only units to have access to the heavy flamer.

Let's start with the +- differences in default unit costs (not the absolute costs, just the deltas).
pedro and grimaldus cost: a landraider MINUS 65 points
cenobyte servitors cost: 1 power weapon MINUS 5 points (each)
helbrecht costs: a landraider MINUS 70 points

emperors champion costs: a landraider MINUS 110 points

White Scars-is it +1 to Strength or +1 to number of attacks on Hammer of Wrath?
plus 1+ strength

Did Marines get a big walker, like the dreadknight or wraithknight?
no, not at all.

Question about the 30 or so chapters covered. Is there any mention of the following: Brotherhood of a Thousand, Angels of Fire, Skull Bearers and Storm Giants? Pics or back round?

sorry not that i can see. it shows lots of ultramarines successors, everyone else is abit neglected and has about 3-4, the chapters you have asked about i could not find, will look again later.

Is Telion UM only or can any chapter have him as a "consultant"?

he is for use with ultramarines chapter tactics only.

vulkan = 60 points cheaper than a landraider
khan = 125 points cheaper than a landrider
^moondraken^ = the same price as a power fist
legion of the damed = 125 points cheaper than a landraider for 5, additional models cost a powerfist each

lysander = 20 points chaper than a landraider

Do tactical squads have access to a heavy flamer?
nope, only sterngaurd and legion of the damned have access to it

Do the BTs traits include a limitation on allying in psykers? Are the GKs still exempt from that problem?
no, but they cannot take librarians as a HQ choice. thats the only limitation i could find.

IRON HANDS:
no special character

the flesh is weak: models in this detachment have the 6+ feel no pain special rule. they may take a better feel no pain roll if its available (like a narcethium in a command squad for example giving a 5+ to the unit)

Machine empathy: all vehicles and characters in this detachment have the it will not die special rule. furthermore, tech marines and masters of the forge add +1 to their blessing of the omnissiah rolls.

blessing of the omnissiah - restores a single hull point or a repairs a weapon destroyed or immobilized result.

BOLSTER DEFENSES: now works on any terrain piece in your deployment zone, not just ruins. however you cant bolster fortifications and bolster can only be used once per terrain piece and to a minimum of a 3+ cover save.

RAVEN GAURD:
ALL models in this detachment have the scout special rule. in addition, on the first game turn all models have the stealth special rule. note, units with the special rules bulky or very bulky, do not benefit from either rule.

jump infantry in this detachment may use their jump pack in the assault phase as well as the movement phase in the same turn. furthermore, they must reroll failed to wound rolls with their hammer of wraith hits.

SHRIKE: he has the stealth and infiltrate special rule, before deploying he may join a unit of 'JUMP INFANTRY'. (no more termie infiltrate i believe)

White Scar CT, does all Biker have "Skilled Rider" or "+1 to Jink save and auto-pass dangerous terrain"?
And does that biker include Attack bike?
Can Attack Bike be included in a Bike Squad?
Can they Combat Squad? if they can, how?

bike squads:
start with 3 models may increase with an additional 5 bikes. at the cost of a powerfist minus 4 points per model.
may include one attack bike
2 bikes may take a special weapon (no matter the number, 3-8, its only 2 specials)
i dont think they can combat squad:
COMBAT SQUADS: only a full strength 10 man unit may combat squad. they break down into 2 five man units of the same type. you decide which cobat squad your individual models will join when you split them.
you do this before determining warlord traits.

Conflicting rumors for the Salamanders showed one that flamer and melta weapons were part of their chapter tactics, and a later mentions only flamer weapons. Can you confirm which is true?

i checked this:
SALAMANDERS:
flamecraft: models in this detachment re-roll their saving throws against flamer weapons. (as defined in the 40k rulebook)(so no melta is not included) they also may re-roll failed to wound rolls and Armour penetration rolls that fail to at least glance a vehicle, again, only with flamer weapons.

each character in the salamanders detachment may mastercraft a single weapon for free

vulkan automatically makes all melta weapons mastercafted in your army with his special rules.

What does heroic intervention do

Heroic intervention: vanguard veteran squads ignore the penalty for disordered charge. furthermore a vanguard veteran sergeant automatically passes his imitative tests if he wishes to make a glorious intervention.

applies to vehicles??
nothing says they aren't except they dont have the chapter tactics special rule in their entry. im pretty sure these rules only apply to models with the chapter tactics special rule. (all infantry pretty much) and iron hands specifys it includes vehicles even though they dont have chapter tactics.

leads me to believe it does not include vehicles.

What's the statline of a Centurion?
WS, BS, S, T, A, W, Saves? Are they 2 wounds, T5, with a 2+/4++?
picks in the next 5 minutes

COSTS:
centurions (devs/CC) = 60 points less than a landraider
las/gravcannon with amp = weapon upgrades are a powerfist minus 5 points.

you may also give the sergeant splitfire for the cost of a power weapon minus 5 points

Command squad and honor guard pictures sans-points cost?
costs for command squads = same as dark angels

honour guard = land raider minus 165 points for 3 models, after that you may include 7 additional models for the cost of a power fist each

Is there anything that gives them an invul save? Is there an entry in the wargear section (like in Chaos Marines there's a part for Fleshmetal and other armor) that explains Centurion armor?
I had heard that Centurions got a 4++ invul, I just want to see if that's true.

cant find anything on it sorry. if i do ill let you know but so far its just a 2+ by the looks

can vanguard vets not take jump packs and what is there weapon choices like
they have access to the melee weapon list. (evrytang)
jump packs are an upgrade per models and are 2 points cheaper than a melta bomb.

Flaming Projectiles?
legion of the damned have the rule on all their weapons including bolters.
flaming projectiles ignore cover.

What are the restrictions to Command and Honour Guard squads? Last codex had chapter master/captain restrictions.
Command Squad:
1 Command Squad per Captain, Librarian, Chaplain in the army (including named characters Captains, Librarians, Chaplains) Does not use up a FOC slot.
If a detachment contains a Chapter Master on a bike, Space Marines Biker units of at least 5 models may be taken as TROOPS choices instead of FAST ATTACK

Honour Guard:

1 Honour Guard Squad per Chapter Master in the army (including named character Chapter Masters) Does not use up a FOC slot.

How about a list of the chapter relics/ or what they do?
STANDARD OF THE EMPEROR ASCENDANT -
friendly units within 12'' gain automatically pass morale and pinning tests.
friendly units within 6'' gain the hatred special rule and add 1 to their combat results.
the unit with the banner have the fear special rule.

THE SHIELD ETERNAL - same as 2 power fists
storm shield that confers the bearer, eternal warrior and admantium will.

THE ARMOUR INDOMITUS - 15 points cheaper than 3 power fists

PRIMARCHS WRATH - 5 points cheaper than a power fist

THE BURNING BLADE - 5 points MORE than 2 power fists
melee, S+3 AP2 blind, incandescant - at the end of each turn roll a d6, on 1 the bearer takes a S4 AP2 hit.

TEETH OF TERRA - 10 points more than a power fist

melee, S+2, AP3, melee, rampage, specialist weapon, strikedown.

Does the Stalker/Hunter have interceptor in addition to skyfire?
no sorry

Does Assault Marine or Vanguard Veteran access to some shotty weapon, like Melta gun, Plasma gun or Gravo gun?

nope only pistols with the addition of grav pistols.

Are Blood Ravens in the book? or where they completely ignored?

ignored lol, might be somewhere in there but i haven't spotted them.

So terminators can't take heavy flames anymore either?
its in their entry they can take them.
this is the heavy flamer in the war gear section of the book which is were 'most' units buy their upgrades from. here it is limited to only the 2 units previously mentioned. but terminators have it in their own entry unlike alot of other units.

Thunderfire Cannon, did it gain Barrage on all shot types??

all 3 rounds have barrage, yes.

Are the reported stats on grav weapons correct?

they sure are.

If I could ask, who all can take the chapter relics and how many. I'd love to give my chapter master two or more of the relics in higher points games.
had a quick browse, the can take multiple relics on one guy but still limited to one of each relic per army.

most of the HQ's who arent special characters can take them.

What's in the sidebar about the Exorcists chapter? Is it helpful for picking a Chapter Trait for them?
the excorcists maintain 2 extra scout company's for a total of 12 companies. without such a high influx of recruits, the excorcists would cease to exist, for their training methods are highly unconventional and brutal.

that's the blurb they have.

What about the Legion of the Damned?
I hear their gun stats might have changed from the normal boltgun to something else
Possibly ignores cover?

correct, their weapons have the special rule, flaming projectiles which lets them ignore cover. other than that plus been cheaper they are the same 3++ deep striking with re-rolls, guys we love.

Do Sternguard get to use the IF bolter drill with special issue ammo.

negative, it specifically states sterngaurd using special ammunition do not benefit from the IF chapter trait which allows the re rolls of ones.

In regards to the successor chapters, how are the organised in regards to Chapter Tactics? Are they mentioned in one big list or at the end of each section of the main chapters?
it names a few successors in the fluff section after each of the 7 main chapters. each has a small blurb with a picture of a marine. there is not many.

you can really use whatever tactics you want it just means you are forced with certain characters.

Is it possible to equipt a Landraider with a Dozerblade?

may not be taken by a landraider of any type

Sucks that iron hands still dont have a character... can you tell me if techmarines take up a force org chart and which one? Also do they or MotF get new toys?

for each HQ you can take a techmarine that does not take up a FOC slot. MotF had a slit point reduction but are otherwise the same

That doesn't tally with the preview of the digital codex, or indeed White Dwarf, both of which show Heavy Flamers to be available to Tactical squads.
pictures of dudes carrying weapons in some leaks or in WD, may be different to the actual rules.
double check. and i quote.
sterngaurd veterans and legion of the damned only.

assuming Venerable is an upgrade for regular dreads now-- what I want to know, is do Ironclads have access to the Venerable upgrade?
ironclads cannot be made venerable.

How is Calgar? I mean, rumor said you roll 3 dices and pick one for your warlord trait, does that mean you
1."Roll and get 3 traits according to the result" and "pick one at your will"
or
2. pick one from the 3?
calgar is as told on 40k radio.
he allows you to use ULTRAMARINE COMBAT DOCTRINES TWICE per game rather than just once.

he rolls 3 times on the warlord traits table, and from thos 3 rolls he is allowed to choose ONE.

I know you just said it, but I am having a hard time believing it, so: Barrage for all Thunderfire Cannon ammo types???

Also, can command squads take special weapons? What are the options for Honour Guard if you've not already mentioned it? (Don't recall seeing it.)
i think there should be pictures of honour guard and comand squad options a few pages back.
correct, looking at it right now in the back of the book on the table and it says barrage at the end of all 3 types.

Does Calgar retain his eternal warrior special rule?
yes

Is Chronus (Ultramarine tank commander) locked into the ultramarines? Or can any chapter take him as counts as?

locked to ultramarines chapter tactics users only.

Are the Scythes of the Emperor in the dex at all.. thanks a ton!

a small blurb about their founding.

What psychic disciplines can libbys choose?
biomany,pyromancy, telekenesis, and telepathy

Can you put 6 Centurion Devastators in a land-raider crusader with a pintle-mounted storm bolter?
Additionally, How many of each weapon can a sternguard veteran squad take?
any may take a combi weapon and 2 may take a special weapon.
being Very Bulky, which means they take up 3 slots each in a transport. So no more than 3 in a Godhammer, 4 in a Redeemer, or 5 in a Crusader. it may also take a stormbolter.

can a terminator master or captain take a relic blade?

not that i can see

Are storm-bolters, heavy-bolters, or heavy-flamers special weapons in a sternguard squad, or how do those work?
any model may upgrade to a stormbolter for the same price as a current melta bomb

two models may take either a special weapon or heavy weapon from the special or heavy weapons list. (they have access to 2 heavy flamers in other words)
